One of my favorite producers(Alchemist) & favorite rappers (Prodigy) made a classic joint. I grew up with the gangsta styles of Prodigy’s rhymes blasting through my crib and always listened with ease.
P.S. I never knew who that other dude rapping was but 2:51(where he starts playing with his hat) was hilarious and that “blow the .44 for” bar was cold the way he delivered.

The video isn’t timeless AT ALL but, I was also 8 when this song came out but it didn’t have a lot of plays on BET from my knowledge. One of those real vibe joints even though the video is played, the song is timeless and timeless music always prevails.

I was 8 when this song came out and I always felt it was amazing from the beat to the heart felt rhymes. I would be up at 12-2 in the morning on school days looking forward to seeing this and a couple other joints on BET. I want a ‘Mississippi Pimps’ jersey.
